The Smarter Summers Elementary Program
At Smarter Summers, our goal is not to take away from the joys of summer, but to provide balance.
We want our students to return to the classroom with confidence, feeling excited to show off all that they’ve learned, and eager to learn even more! Our Smarter Summers Elementary Program for students entering Grades K-4 is designed not only to prevent learning loss, but to actually keep kids moving forward with the skills that will help them to excel in school. Our differentiated, small group offerings help students build a strategic approach to reading, writing, and math, and we promise to make it fun! Plus, each day at camp will also include breaks for movement and snack, and a fun group activity like origami, yoga, or an art project because it is summer after all!
Reading
Our small group reading block will support and engage readers of all abilities, from early readers through confident book worms!
Writing
The writing block will reinforce a strategic and structured approach to writing, at both the sentence and paragraph level.
Math
Our small group math block will target fact fluency and problem solving skills with lots of math games and puzzles.
